Holding On To Love

Hi everyone, this is a painting I completed at least a week ago, I am calling it "Holding On To Love." This one was in my etsy shop but I have decided to donate it to Borealis Arts here in town, which is going to be holding some sort of auction this weekend in order to benefit the victims of Saturday's tragic shootings here in Tucson.

You may have seen in the news that 6 people were killed and 13 people wounded, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. This all happened about a 15 minute drive from where my mom and I were having lunch when we heard. It was so surreal. My heartfelt thoughts go out to all of the victims and their families and friends, I cannot imagine what they are going through. I hope that they can find healing and peace soon.

I hope that you all are having a lovely week, and I'll see you soon!

  7. Lauren, The painting is gorgeous and it is going for a very good cause. That was indeed a tragedy and so senseless. I'm happy to know that you were not too close, how awful it would have been.

  10. Darling, make sure you take a moment to be after being that close to something. It cleanses the spirit and all that compassion fills in the little spray of holes evil creates unknowingly. I am thinking of you and sending blessings to all those involved. Take care sunshine girl!
