Hello there! I hope you are enjoying a lovely Saturday. We are having a very nice one here. Daniel usually only has Sundays off but has a two-day weekend, yay! I went to yoga this morning (the studio is a very convenient 5-minute walk away), we ran some errands and now we are just relaxing before going to a friend's birthday party tonight. I also finished my painting, "Little Miss Cupcake", which is available in my Etsy shop. I did a fun magenta scalloped edge on the sides :) I'm loving polks dots and desserts right now!

A Spot of Tea on a Rainy Day
Hello! I am enjoying a lovely rainy day today, which is quite a treat here in Tucson! The perfect day for a spot of peppermint tea in a special teacup, don't you think? :) My little bunny here (purchased from LittleElfsToyShop on Etsy) is even joining in with her pretty little teacup.
I've been staring out the window at the rain all morning...
What a wonderful day to do a little reading too! I've been looking through this Folk and Fairy Tales book my mom gave me from when she was little. I love the cover!
Its fun to flip through the pages and get inspiration from all the pretty illustrations :) I love all the princesses, carriages and castles!
However, I need to get to work on this piece I am working on! I started this yesterday, an acrylic painting of a little girl holding a cupcake. I am loving cupcakes right now! I have a lot of work to do on it still, but I thought I'd give you a little preview :)

The Princess Among the Tulips
Hello there! The painting above is my latest, "The Princess Among the Tulips." It is on an 8"x10" stretched canvas and is available in my Etsy shop. I did a bit of a fancier background than normal, with all the flowers and stems. It seems like I haven't painted a princess in a little while (Besides Princess Kitty, of course), so I had a lot of fun with this one. Below is just a silly little sketch I did of a gal with a flower in her hair.

Greeting Cards!
Hello! It is a lovely cloudy day today, and I am relaxing with my two little kitty girls :) I wanted to pop in and show you the latest things I have been working on! I got sudden inspiration yesterday to make a couple of handmade greeting cards, and I went for it. These two are what I came up with, and I like them :) These are both handpainted with acrylics. I put them in my etsy shop to sell, but I may also scan them so that I can make printed cards from them too. And I have a couple more ideas, so there are more to come!
The painting below is my favorite from my new paintings featuring Princess Kitty, a cute little gal I came up with :) I had to do one for Valentine's Day, so this one includes a Prince Kitty too. It is available in my shop. I am looking into making prints of my paintings soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Luckily I have a very talented photographer for a sister to help me out with that :)

Pretty New Gal
Hello there! I have a busy day today, but just wanted to pop in and show you the new gal I just added to my Etsy shop. It is called "A Lovely Sight". I am having fun working with acrylics right now, and feel like I am slowly but surely refining my skills, which is exciting! I have a painting planned to do tomorrow which is a little different, I am quite excited about it. Stay posted! Well, I am off to go see the movie "Coco Before Chanel" with my sister and our friend, I can't wait! I've been wanting to see it for a while. Hope you are having a great day, see you soon!

A New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. I had a wonderful time relaxing with my boyfriend and visiting with our families. And I even got a little bit of work done. I have a few new paintings up in my shop, including these two (above and below). You can check them out at http://www.fairrosamund.etsy.com/. I am feeling very hopeful that the new year will be productive for me and my business. I absolutely love living out my dream as a full-time artist and hope that I can continue!
I got many beautiful gifts this year for Christmas, and I want to share a couple with you. This is a little book stack of two antique books from my sister, including Charles Dickens' Stories for Christmas. He is one of my favorite authors ever, so I was thrilled! Plus I just love collecting old books.
