The Book Worm

Well hello everyone! It has been quite a while since I have visited you here! I have a few new paintings to share, beginning with my newest, "The Book Worm."

Above is "Fanny the Flapper Girl" and below are three mini paintings with easels: "The Ice Cream Cone," "The Rose" and "Teddy and Me." These are all available in my shop.

I was lucky enough to be able to take a short vacation with my sister to visit a friend in San Jose. We also went to lovely San Francisco. One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting the Winchester house (here is a photo of me and my sister in front of it). You should try to go someday if you haven't, it is really amazing!

In other news, I was lucky enough to be able to do a trade recently with the lovely Julie from The Ruby Nest! I received this gorgeous painting "The Reluctant Consent (Waiting for the One). It is so so beautiful and I love being able to look at it every day! Make sure to check out her etsy shop and blog if you aren't familiar with her already, her art is amazing and she always has wonderful stories behind her work.

And in yet more exciting news, I have done a collaboration with Kimberlie of B.B. Bellezza! She has made some lovely pendants out of my artwork--you can check them out in her etsy shop here. She was also kind enough to interview me for her blog--if you would like to check it out it is here. Thank you so much Kim, it has been so much fun collaborating and the pendants are beautiful!

I am returning to school part-time this semester, so I may be slowing down on the painting a bit (but hopefully not too much!). My goal is to get into the Master's program for Library Science next year. It will be strange going back to class after a few years, but I am very excited :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful week, and I'll see you soon!

  1. Busy girl! I saw those minis in your shop a bit ago...love the ice cream cone girl...and The Book Worm is so charming!! Were she a brunette, I might've believed it to be a self portrait.....hmmmmm ;P

It warms my heart to see your work selling so regularly! Very exciting! You'll have to tell me your secret....heehee!

    Lotsa love,
    Cam

  2. So many wonderful things in this post. I love all your new work - but especially the book worm. It touched my heart, now with the passing of the bookstore where I have worked for the past 12 years. Congrats on the jewelry and the interview - how exciting! Julie does do amazing work - so glad you were able to do a trade. :) Glad you had a fun mini vacation. :) Hope the weekend is a good one!
