Hello everyone! I am finally back to Sunday Sketches. This week I have two, where I was experimenting with my faces again. I just noticed on the top one that one eye is way bigger than the other--oh well, that's what sketches are for right? :) I can maybe see her as a water nymph or a mermaid. For the second one I was experimenting with ideas for one of my Day of the Dead paintings which I am doing. She is very sketchy and unfinished :)
Thank you so much for stopping by, do make sure to visit all of the other wonderful Sunday Sketches over at Sophia's blog Blue Chair Diary. I have a lot to do today so I will be making most of my visits a little later. I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! :)
~for being "very sketchy" they both are still wonderful...i think a water nymph would be ever so pretty...i wonder wonder what these two will come to be...warm wishes and brightest blessings~
ReplyDeleteHi, glad you are back! they are both just lovely...gorgeous faces and captivating eyes. I know you will create something brilliant with these.

They are great! We are huge into El dias de los Muertos - we have lots of Mexican friends and my children just love it! WE mix that with Halloween here, so we will love to see her complete! We will show you some of ours as we do them too!
ReplyDelete- sorry we are so late - was away today and smartly posted SS earlier scheduled to post today - but forgot to remind children to link! If you have time still - its linked now! Thanx! L
They are both wonderful... I love the flowers in the hair of the Day of the Dead beauty! (I can't wait to see her finished)

Great sketches and your Day of the Dead paintings are fabulous! Sounds like it will be a wonderful show!
ReplyDeleteThe first I could see as a ghost, fading out. Not sure why!
Lovely!
Pretty girls! Really gorgeous! I must do a Day of the Dead girl as well x
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin the shading and realism creeping into your sketches....so amazing to watch your artistic journey unfurl like the frond of a fern :)
ReplyDeleteThe eyes of your little gals are always so dreamy....LOVE that about your art. Captivating immediately. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
your sketches are wonderful, both of them!
ReplyDeleteso funny how we do not notice that eyes are different until we see them on the computer. I am not sure that I would have noticed. But I am noticing that almost every person I look at, their eyes each look different.
They are both astoundingly lovely. I adore your Sunday Sketches. :) Theresa
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful ladies. I do notice that one eye is bigger than the other on the first one, but only after you mentioned it. I do believe that in life our faces are not the same on both sides and that is what gives us interest and character, and so it does to our art as well.
