Sunday Sketch

Here is my Sunday Sketch, a little 18th Century-type lady :) I got the idea for her from seeing Heather's beautiful Georgiana painting over at Audrey Eclectic. Then I wondered why I had never sketched or painted this type of lady before--I absolutely love history and period costumes!

Make sure to check out all of the other wonderful sketches over at Sophia's blog Blue Chair Diary.

I hope you are having a nice Sunday! :)

  5. She looks very demure. I love that period too - the clothes were so fabulous. Don't you ever wonder though how they kept those long skirts clean as they walked through the muddy streets full of rubbish and unmentionable smelly stuff?? Perhaps they went everywhere by carriage or sedan chair. Hmm, I think that must be the answer. The poor however, just had to put up with it!

  6. This is quite wonderful, I love her hair. I use to know two sisters who had very wavy hair and they would actually wear ringlets like this!
